McKinzie Barlow
Hi, I am McKinzie Barlow, and I am running for your 2008 Frontier Days Sweetheart. I was born and raised in Willits and attend Willits High as a junior, soon to be a senior. I have been active in raising Purebred Suffolk and Market sheep in Willits 4-H and FFA for the last 8 years. I am currently FFA Chapter Sentinel and Treasure for our Mendo- Lake Section. I have been riding horses most of my life and was active in the Willits Jr. Horsemen’s for 8 years. I have been dreaming of this 2008 Willits Frontier Days sweetheart contest, since I was about 7 riding in our parade as a future Sweetheart. I will bring honor, integrity, and hard work to you, our community that has inspired me to be running for such an honorable Position. Heather Morrison
Hello, my name is Heather Morrison, and I am running the 2008 Willits Frontier Days Rodeo Sweetheart. I am eighteen years old and currently attend Mendocino College in the hopes of becoming a Radiologist. I spend most my time going to school and working at a coffee shop. I also have a class1 license to drive big trucks, and I am looking forward to working for CDF this summer. In my spare time you can find me in the saddle. I live on a ranch with my family Lisa & John Morrison, my two older brothers and nine horses that are considered close family. In 2006 I ran for the Laytonville rodeo sweetheart competition and won. It was one of the best moments of my life, and I had a lot of fun running for the competition. My favorite thing about running for Sweetheart is meeting all the great people that I talk to at the rodeos, selling tickets, etc. That is why I am running for Willits Sweetheart—its a lot of fun, I get to represent the Willits Rodeo Association and have hope for being crowned your 2008 Willits Frontier Days rodeo sweetheart. I am usually at all the local rodeos running barrels on my horses.
